Reflectometers of the CABAN series are operated by an external computer. Power and communication with the computer are carried out via the USB interface. The software allows the use of vector reflectometers with both personal computers and tablets.
The device is supplied with software designed to operate in Window OS. Upon request, device software for use with the Linux OS is provided. The capability to use two reflectometers connected to a single USB controller for measuring S11, |S21|, |S12|, S22 parameters is supported.
Lightweight and compact, the reflectometer can be used in field conditions, industrial production environments, laboratories, and within automated measurement setups. The reflectometers support remote control via COM and TCP/IP Socket protocols.
CABAN vector reflectometers can be directly connected to the device under test without using microwave measurement cables. This increases measurement accuracy, reduces device operating costs, and saves time on calibration procedures, which can be performed less frequently and in convenient conditions.
