The TFE1854 module is an ultra-compact device. It consists of the following basic elements: measurement and local oscilator frequency multipliers, a broadband auto-adjusted power amplifier, directional taps and frequency converters. Power supply and control boards are also included.
The main differences of the TFE1854 are the operating frequency range of 18-54 GHz and the coaxial measuring path.
The configurable front panel is distinguished by the presence of connectors providing access to intermediate frequency (IF) receiver paths and local oscillator (LO) signal.

VAС COBALT can be connected to the following frequency range expansion modules:
- TFE1854 (produced by PLANAR);
- VECTOR series* (produced by MVEIV LLC, Chernogolovka, exclusive distributor in the Russian Federation – PLANAR);
- other global manufacturers in the frequency range up to 330 GHz (consult with PLANAR specialists regarding compatibility).
Delivered VAС COBALT can be equipped with calibration kits for coaxial and rectangular waveguide paths.
